Celebrate the start of fall with a comet! Resting Tree Mindfulness along with Yoga Spot Meadville will be co-hosting this event. We will discuss this month’s astronomical happenings which start with a lunar eclipse, then the equinox, and end with a comet. We will visit how these events can be seen as times for introspection: feeling gratitude but also letting go. How to reconnect with the more than human world will also be demonstrated. When performed repeatedly, these practices will encourage a deeper connection with the outdoors; relax an overactive mind; and enhance greater sensitivity to the patterns of nature. This event will include a short walk through the forest as well as a seated meditation.
Join us at Cora Clark Park on Pine Avenue in Meadville on September 13th at 6:30 pm. Park near the pavilion. Open to all levels of experience. Bring a waterproof seat, dress for the weather. Must be 18 to attend. No pets.
Investment is $20/person; No refunds or transfers.
This event is rain or shine. In the event of extreme inclement weather, event will be rescheduled for Sunday, September 15th at 6:30 pm.
